Gordon Ramsay’s York & Albany
Winter Cabin

Following the success of the Gingerbread Cabin, the York & Albany wanted to create another cabin experience for the winter months, this time reflecting the eclectic style of the Camden establishment with hints of eccentricity and feelings of grandeur.

We started with a brand new cabin, allowing us more space inside for seats; we weatherproofed it and painted the outside a pale grey with white edgings. For the inside we clad the walls in midnight blue and added beading to look like panels and a dado rail. We also stained the floor dark wood and painted the ceiling white.

We then went about sourcing furniture and props, opting for a fabulous sphere crystal chandelier, a pair of rhino head wall lamps and a mix of shelving for all the odd little props and ornaments. The venues vintage style drinks trolley took pride of place and was used as the bar during bookings, so we added low sofa seating with a mix of textures and warm colours together with some vintage tables and poufs from the GRG treasure cave.

Outside potted conifers wrapped in fairy lights lined the walkway leading up to the cabin, and a smoking chiminea gave guests a bit of warmth while they enjoyed their hot wine on those winter nights.
